We are delighted to have Paul Kerr join the team as our new Engagement Officer. Find out all about Paul and the role he’s take on below.
‘My name is Paul Kerr, and I have recently joined Vision Northumberland as an Engagement Officer. I am delighted to be part of the team and wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself.
I have worked in community development for the past 24 years, supporting individuals and communities through a variety of roles within the voluntary sector. Throughout my career, I have worked with organisations including Citizens Advice Bureau, Changing Lives, and Gateshead Football Community Foundation, helping people access opportunities, services, and support that improve their quality of life.
A key part of my experience has been developing and maintaining strong partnerships with voluntary, statutory, and community organisations. I am passionate about bringing people together, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring that communities have a voice in the services and decisions that affect them.
In my role at Vision Northumberland, I will be focused on helping place people at the centre of local services and decision-making. By empowering individuals to make informed choices, fostering independence and inclusion, and improving access to resources and opportunities, I hope to support people in living more fulfilling and connected lives.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, learning more about the fantastic work taking place across Vision Northumberland, and building strong relationships across the organisation as I settle into my new role.
I am excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working with you all.’
