Trustee Vacancy

Join our Board and help people with sight and hearing loss thrive.

Vision Northumberland is a long-established charity supporting people living with sight and hearing loss across Northumberland. Many people will remember us by our former name, Northumberland County Blind Association.

Every day, our staff and over 90 dedicated volunteers help people with sensory loss live more independently, stay connected to their communities, and access the support they need.

We’re now looking for a new Trustee with an interest or background in finance to join our friendly and committed Board.

This is an opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference. You don’t need previous trustee experience – we’ll provide support and guidance. What matters most is that you share our values and want to help improve the lives of people with sight and hearing loss.

Working alongside our Finance Manager, accountants, fellow trustees, and leadership team, you’ll help us ensure the charity remains financially healthy and able to deliver its vital services for years to come.

What’s involved?
  • Attending four Board meetings each year
  • Contributing to discussions about the future direction of the charity
  • Supporting financial oversight and good decision-making
  • Occasional attendance at additional meetings, events, and our AGM
We welcome everyone

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the communities we serve. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience of disability, sensory loss, or other under-represented perspectives.
