Vision Northumberland has been awarded £256,361 from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our new project, Vision for Change. This generous funding will enable us to strengthen our work across the community and ensure that people living with sight loss receive the specialist support they need to thrive.
What “Vision for Change” Will Deliver:
At the heart of this project is a commitment to putting people with lived experience at the centre of everything we do.
To achieve this, we will:
– Establish a User-Led Forum that will play a central role in shaping and improving services
– Deliver a programme of accessible engagement and peer support activities
– Co-design projects with participants to create meaningful, lasting change
– Provide targeted support that builds skills, confidence and independence
The Difference We Aim to Make:
“Vision for Change” is about empowering people and creating lasting impact.
Through this project:
– People will feel empowered to take control of their lives, make informed choices, and actively shape the services that affect them
– The wider community will become more inclusive and supportive
– We will work collaboratively with partners, using data and lived experience to identify gaps and improve services
Looking Ahead:
This funding represents a significant step forward for Vision Northumberland. It will help us grow stronger as an organisation, expand our reach and deepen the impact we have within our community.
