On 23rd September, service users, volunteers, staff and trustees of Vision Northumberland gathered at Reiver House in Morpeth for a special occasion. The Mayor of Morpeth, Councillor Rachael Hogg, along with Deputy Mayor, Councillor Wendy Fail, were warmly welcomed by everyone present.
The visit was met with great delight and enthusiasm, highlighting the strong sense of community and support within the organisation.
During the visit, Mayor Rachael emphasised the significant contribution Vision Northumberland makes in assisting people with sensory loss. She acknowledged the charity’s vital role not just within Morpeth, but throughout the County, highlighting the reach and positive influence of its services.
As part of the occasion, Helen Wade, the Low Vision Lead, provided an overview of the wide array of specialised equipment available to support people with sight loss. This demonstration further showcased Vision Northumberland’s commitment to offering practical solutions and expert assistance to those living with visual impairments.
