Vision Northumberland's telephone befriending service aims to reduce social isolation and combat loneliness for visually impaired people.

The service connects registered, vetted volunteers with vision-impaired clients for regular telephone chats; providing emotional support, enabling social contact and passing on valuable hints and information.

Support is offered to all clients who wish to benefit from a regular or occasional call by a volunteer.
