At Vision Northumberland, we recognise the difficulties associated with hearing loss and are proud to provide our expert-led Hearing Loss Assessment Service, available across Northumberland.

Our Hearing Loss Assessment Service (HLAS) empowers individuals to make the most of their hearing by offering guidance, confidence-building, and practical skills that support greater independence in daily life.

This free, appointment-based service is delivered from our dedicated resource centre as well as outreach venues across the county and, in exceptional circumstances, people’s homes.

During an appointment, our Hearing Loss Coordinator will offer a thorough assessment to understand your unique hearing loss. They will discuss the challenges faced by those with hearing loss as well as equipment, aids and techniques that can help. Our service includes the opportunity to try a range of equipment so you can discover what works best for you, support with cleaning your hearing aids and replacement of batteries.

Vision Northumberland provide a comprehensive information and advice service, support with accessing suitable equipment and signpost to additional services where needed.
