Volunteer transport

At Vision Northumberland we understand that, for some with a sensory impairment, getting from A to B can be difficult.

That’s why we offer Volunteer Transport to get our clients where they need to go, help support their independence and keep them involved in the community.

Depending on availability, our friendly Volunteer Drivers can provide transport to medical appointments, social support groups and sports and activities.

All of our drivers hold valid UK driving licences, are fully insured and receive enhanced DBS checks. Trained in ‘Sighted Guide’, our drivers will ensure their passenger gets safely to and from the car.

Volunteer Transport is charged at 45p per mile, invoiced monthly.
