📍 Location: Morpeth (with travel across Northumberland)
🕒 Hours: 21 hours per week (Permanent)
💷 Salary: £15,330 (actual)
Vision Northumberland is looking for a passionate Digital Enablement Coordinator to help blind and partially sighted people use digital technology to live more independent, connected lives.
Digital tools and accessible apps can make a real difference – and you’ll be leading our digital inclusion programme across the county.
🔹 What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating our Digital Enablement Service across Northumberland
- Training and supporting volunteers, Digital Champions and Peer Mentors
- Delivering friendly one-to-one and small group digital support sessions
- Helping people explore practical digital solutions for everyday life
- Working with partner organisations to reach more people
- Supporting promotion of courses with support from our Communications Officer
🔹 We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting or teaching others
- Is confident using digital tools and technologies
- Has great communication and people skills
- Is patient, encouraging and organised
- Understands (or is keen to learn about) sight loss, accessibility and assistive technology
- Can travel around Northumberland
